Dreams
- Place to ask questions, deal with issues etc., like an open forum
- Culture change at Vic – openness, community
- Our own magazine, or column in Salient
- Christians being open about their love for God
- Dealing with misconceptions about Jesus/Christianity
- Everyone having a chance to hear about Jesus.
Ideas
- Putting something on with another club, to build community
AskGod – sheets/leaflets in lecture theatres
- Keeping up visibility – posters etc
- Talent show – like camp concert! ?
- Grim reaper/angel/devil
- Christian band – form/invite one
- tour of hostels
- “What is Christianity About?” program/lecture
- Hostel people – something crazy?
- dress up party
- e.g. Jesus lookalike…?
- Movie – e.g. Prince Caspian
- find links to gospel and discuss afterwards
- invite friends
- Christian (clean) dancing
Group with Peta-Maria Harris
- Some events with other Christian groups on campus eg. Student Life
- Dramatisation/Performance of some sort
- Supporting other TSCF groups in New Zealand (eg. meeting up with the Fijian group, prayer day with Palmy group/’exchange type thing-sometimes people have more confidence when talking to students at another campus)
- Lego Display based on the brick testament, where people can also come and build their own things (use as a discussion starter) Could also use play dough
- Student Alpha/ introductory Christianity courses
- Mid-winter Christmas Carols/Dinner with candles and hot chocolate
- Cafe night with discussion topics
- Poem/poster/pamphlet in the family planning centre (pro-life, and possibly also offering some sort of support?)
- Social events –to build existing friendships and make new friends eg. Square Dancing or organised dancing, hacky tournament in the quad, sports day
- Alternative Halloween of some kind
- Show movies/movie clips and follow up with discussion, use movies that are topical or have some meaning to them
- Dialogue Dinners (could be combined with the mid-winter Christmas idea?)
Ask God in the Quad ideas
- Different question? – what would you thank God for?
- If you could ask for one thing what would it be?
- Probably best to use the 'what is one thing you would ask God?' because it also brings up misconceptions that people have
- Have some people hanging around to talk to people if they want to
- Posters/someone handing out things to let people know about it in other areas of uni
- Pull-off tags with info about the blog?
